2026 Board of Directors Candidates

Judy Cox

I was born and raised in Katy and have lived in Firethorne for 19 years. I graduated from Katy High School in 1976 and taught for 30 years. I now serve as a substitute teacher in Katy and was recently selected to serve on the education board for Tiny Steps at First Baptist Church of Katy. I am also a docent at the Katy Heritage Houses, where our community’s history is preserved and shared. In addition, I once served on the amenities committee, foster dogs for Almost Home Pet Rescue, and collect food and supplies for the Wharton Pound.

As a member of the board, I would proudly represent you and bring your ideas and concerns forward. As a longtime Katy resident, I want to keep Firethorne friendly, clean, and safe. I love our community and would be honored to serve. Please consider voting for me for our HOA Board.

David Foytik

David Foytik is a two-time resident with a deep commitment to community values, neighborhood upkeep and responsible governance. David has a strong background in engineering, design and project management. David believes in transparency, accountability and proactive communication between the board and the residents. David is passionate about preserving the character of the community while ensuring that decisions reflect the best interest of all homeowners. David is especially interested in improving community amenities, maintaining property values, and enhancing safety and landscaping standards.

David spends his spare time outside the workplace visiting his family, working on his vehicles and restoring a classic car for his newborn grandson. David is ready and eager to contribute to the HOA board to help guide the neighborhood toward continued success and harmony.

Cory Rivenburgh

I’ve lived in Firethorne for 8 years now on the West side near Lindsey where my son is in the 3th grade there. I enjoy the community and regularly use the amenities that are provided. As a former Firethorne board member I know what all is involved and will be asked of me to serve the community. I look forward to the opportunity to serve the community once again.

Elections will take place January 8th.
