Lacrosse Fields
1.The fields and surrounding area may be used for sessions of youth field sports as follows. Organized teams sponsored by a resident member (resident/sponsor) of the Firethorne Community Association (FCA) may schedule fields up to ten (10) days in advance only.
2.A field may be reserved for no more than two (2) hours on any given date for field sports.
3.Resident/sponsor reserving the field MUST be present the entire time the sponsored team is using the field or fields. If resident/sponsor leaves, the reservation is immediately cancelled and the team must depart.
4.Golf as well as team rugby, adult football and any other sports determined to be damaging to the sod and turf are absolutely prohibited on the fields and surrounding areas.
5.All organized lacrosse teams must schedule games through the Taylor Lacrosse Club through the team coordinator or coach.
6.Parking for team members, coaches and guests shall be in parking lots and areas where parking is not prohibited by signage. Vehicles are prohibited from the field area.
7.Lacrosse teams will provide a Fort Bend County Sherriffs deputy, if necessary, to enforce parking and maintain security for tournaments.
8.Any damage requiring repair to either sod, equipment or other adjacent structures and facilities will be the responsibility of the team causing the damage and/or the resident/sponsor.
9.Pickup games or impromptu games not involving organized teams of any approved field sport may be played by resident members in good standing of the FCA at their own risk, however they shall yield the use of the fields upon the arrival of an organized team having properly scheduled the fields. The fields are available for use by resident members only.
10.During scheduled maintenance of the fields to include mowing, over seeding, sod aeration, fertilization or any other work; the fields will be closed.
11.Fields are striped for lacrosse. No additional striping or marking is allowed other than use of temporary cones and pylons.
12.Fields shall not be used in rainy or wet conditions conducive to sod or turf root damage. Teams using fields under such conditions shall be denied use of the fields in the future.
13.The outdoor restroom is for use by teams and guests. Access to buildings, Community Center and Visitor Center restrooms is not allowed.
14.ALL trash shall be removed by the user from the field area and placed in trash receptacles before departure. This includes paper, paper wrappers, water bottles and other debris resulting from use of the fields.
15.ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE IS ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES.
16.Music played on the fields is prohibited at anytime.
17.Aggressive violent behavior, loud, obnoxious, obscene, fowl and abusive language will not be tolerated. Offenders shall leave or be removed from the premises.
18.All participants and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in the spirit of good sportsmanship as mature individuals. Unacceptable conduct will result in the immediate termination of a reservation and/or the required departure of the team or teams and may result in user(s) being banned from future use of the fields.

Competitive Pool
The Competitve Pool is for the use of Firethorne Residents and the Firethorne Swim Team.

Competitive Pool Rules
1. Non swimmers are not allowed in the lap lanes, they must use the designated recreational area.
2. Pool is closed during swim practice and swim meets unless otherwise designated
3. Lap swimmers must circle swim if pool is crowded
4. If you are joining a lane with one or more people in it, announce your presence to help avoid collision
5. Water basketball and volleyball are allowed only during designated times
6. Anything the guards deem unsafe and destructive is not allowed
7. No diving into pool, except during swim team practice or meets under a coach’s supervision
8. No hanging on lane lines or other equipment
9. No running or rough housing on the pool deck
10. No food or drinks in the pool
Tennis Courts
Rules:
1. Courts are to be used by residents of Firethorne and their guests only.
2. No children allowed on the courts unless they are playing tennis and accompanied by an adult.
3. Proper tennis shoes required. Non-marking shoes only.
4. Tennis courts are to be used for tennis ONLY. No bicycles, skates, skateboards, in-line skates, hockey, or other activities permitted.
5. No pets are allowed on courts.
6. If other residents are waiting to play, please limit your playing time to 90 minutes.
7. No glass containers, alcohol, or smoking allowed in the tennis court area.
8. Abusive language or radios will not be permitted.
9. Sitting, pushing, pulling, or other abuse on tennis nets is prohibited.
10. Climbing on, hitting, kicking balls into, or running into fences is prohibited.
11. While waiting for courts, please wait outside the gate.
12. No more than 4 players to a court.
13. Please dispose of trash in the receptacle.
14. Courts may be reserved for Firethorne Community programs.
15. From the Firethorne CAI- Enforcement: Any violation of the tennis court rules may result in denial of access to all amenities.

Lakes & Trails
The Firethorne Lake is for the use and enjoyment of all members in good standing and their guests. It features a walking/jogging trail six-tenths of a mile in length that follows the perimeter of the lake. Seating is also available at certain points along the trail. Shaded seating is located under the trees near the waterfall.
Fishing is also permitted in Lake Firethorne. Stocked varieties are Blue Gill Sunfish, Red Ear Sunfish and Florida Hybrid Bass.
Lake Association Rules:
1. Residents are responsible for the actions of their guests.
2. Guests must be accompanied by a resident member at all times.
3. Children under the age of twelve (12) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of eighteen (18) while at the lake.
4. No boats, canoes, rafts or other watercraft are permitted in the lake.
5. No swimming, diving, or wading is permitted in the lake.
6. Jumping or climbing into the lake, or waterfall is not permitted.
7. Animals are not permitted in the lake.
8. There shall be no introduction of fish or fowl into the lake without the expressed permission of the Association.
9. Fishing by rod and reel is permitted on the shore line only. There shall be no fishing from the deck or waterfall. All residents must abide by catch-and-release policies. Anyone found in violation of this policy will be subject to prosecution. Spotlight fishing and the use of cast nets are not allowed.
10. Lake water may not be drawn for any private use.
11. All pets must be kept on a leash while in community common areas.
12. All pet waste must be removed by the owner. Trash stations are placed along the lake trail for your convenience.
13. These rules are subject to change by a vote of the Firethorne Community Association Board of Directors.
Fitness Center
The Firethorne Fitness Center features a variety of choices. The latest models of exercise machines and equipment are available for your use throughout the day and into the night.
There are four television sets for your pleasure. All sets are programmed to broadcast over FM frequencies to your radio & headphones so as not to disturb those residents who choose to work out in silence. Many channels are available through the Consolidated Communications TV Network.
Operating Hours
The Fitness Center is currently open every day from 4am through 11pm, including holidays.
Rules
Violation of any of these rules may result in the suspension of privileges to all community amenities.
1. Children 13 years of age or younger (INCLUDING INFANTS) are not permitted to enter the Fitness Room. Children between the ages of 14 and 17 may use the facility only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Parents/guardians are responsible for their children in the Fitness Room at all times.
2. The Fitness Room is available for residents’ use daily from 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. All residents must exit the facility on or before the posted closing time. Failure to exit at closing time will activate a silent alarm. Any individual who activates the silent alarm is subject to payment for a false alarm call and suspension of privileges to all community amenities.
3. Proper exercise attire is required. Loose or extremely baggy clothing and open toe shoes are prohibited. Only rubber soled tennis shoes are permitted.
4. Keep the Fitness Room clean and please either bring a towel or use the disinfectant wipes to clean off the equipment after use.
5. If you move a piece of equipment during your work out, please return it to its original position.
6. Food is not permitted inside the Fitness Room. Water and/or clear sports drinks are allowed.
7. Keep hands and clothing away from moving parts when operating the equipment.
8. It is recommended that you consult a physician prior to beginning any exercise routine. If, at any time while exercising, you become faint or dizzy, STOP activity immediately and consult a physician.
9. Read all instruction information posted on the equipment prior to use.
10. Only personal trainers approved by Firethorne Community Association are permitted. Please ask the Firethorne HOA Administrator for further information.
11. If others are waiting to use equipment, please limit your use to 30 minutes.
12. The telephone located in the exercise room is for emergency use only. All calls are monitored.
13. Please report any equipment malfunction or vandalism to the office or call (281) 693-0003.
